Heat Illness Prevention

Heat stroke and other heat related illnesses are a growing concern as annual temperatures rise in severity and length. What may even seem like minor increases of a few degrees can have serious impacts to the workforce.
Adequate access to water, shade, rest, and personal protective equipment are compulsory elements of any job site plan. Planning for inevitable heat increases through training, acclimatization, and emergency response procedures are also important parts of heat illness prevention.
